Nama usman janatin mungkin jarang terdengar di telinga kita. Usman Janatin merupakan salah satu pahlawan Nasional kita yang dihukum gantung di Singapura pada 17 Oktober 1968.
Usman Janatin ini mendapatkan tugas khusus dari Soekarno untuk meledakkan gedung Mac Donald House di Singapura, yang saat itu menjadi komponen kawasan Malaysia. Atas jasa dan pengorbanannya Usman Janatin mendapatkan gelar pahlawan dan dimakamkan di Taman Makam Pahlawan Kalibata.
