1. Prambanan temple

3. Ratu Boko Temple
The Ratu Boko Temple is actually a beautiful palace complex that was built and existed since the 8th century. The unique Ratu Boko Temple was built by relatives of Borobudur, a Buddhist temple. This palace is located 196 meters above sea level. The area of the palace of 250,000 m2 is divided into four, namely central, west, southeast and east.
This temple is indeed unique, although it was founded by a Buddha, Ratu Boko"s palace has many Hindu elements. 4. Plaosan temple
Plaosan Temple is not far from Prambanan Temple. This temple is an exotic temple built by Rakai Pikatan for Empress Pramudyawadani. Uniquely, the architecture of the Plaosan Temple is a fusion of Hindu and Buddhist temple architecture.
The location of Plaosan Temple is located in Bugisan Hamlet, Prambanan Regency. While the temple complex itself is divided in two. Namely Plaosan Kidul Temple and Plosan Lor Temple. As twins, both temples have a rectangular and semi-shaped terrace in the west. because of this similarity, Plaosan lor Temple and Plaosan Lor Temple look like betel nuts from a distance. 5. Barong temple
When visiting the hamlet of Candisari, Sambirejo, there are also two temples perched high in a large three-level courtyard. This temple is the Barong temple, a place of worship of Lord Vishnu and Dewi Sri, the goddess of fertility. Based on its history, the Barong Temple is estimated to have been built between the 9th and 10th centuries.
The name of the Barong Temple itself became famous because there was a decoration when it was a creepy giant figure in the form of a barong adorning every gate of the temple entrance. Although barong in Hinduism is actually the guardian of the sanctity of the building. So it is not scary.
6. Sambisari Temple
The Sambisari Temple is estimated to have been built between 812 and 838 AD, probably during the reign of Rakai Garung. This temple was accidentally discovered by a man named Karyowinangun in 1966. After it was accidentally discovered, new excavations were carried out to continue the discovery of hundreds of stones and ancient temple statues.
The location of Sambisari Temple is in Sambisari Hamlet, Purwomartani Village, Kalasan Regency, Sleman. The location is only about 10 kilometers from the center of Yogyakarta. 7. Tara temple
Tara Temple is a temple created and dedicated to Tara. This temple is unique in the form of an outer wall covered with old cement. The Tara Temple is also the oldest Buddhist temple in Yogyakarta, built by Rakai Panangkaran, the king of the Syailendra Dynasty and one of the founders of Borobudur.
Location of the Tara Temple is in Kalibening, Kalasan. That is why this temple is also called the Kalasan temple. The production process was completed in 778 AD and not far from Jalan Yogya Solo.
